In Home Staging we focus on the art of
preparing a home for sale. Decluttering,
organizing and accessorizing are key
factors in redesigning a space that will
appeal to a potential buyer.
Our creative approach to Interior Redesign
is an alternative to traditional Interior
Design. Taking the "Rediscover your Treasures" concept, we enhance your space with a new arrangement using furniture, artwork and accessories you
already own.
If you are a homeowner looking for new
design ideas or a Real Estate
Professional wanting to enhance a
home on the market, consider joining Stage with Style for a mini in-class workshop or a hands-on field workshop!
Let the light shine in!

Lighting is so important when planning a room redesign. The lighting fixtures in a room can make or break your design job. Most Redesigners and Home Stagers realize this importance because they want their work to be seen!
Don't consider lighting an after thought. A room's lighting scheme should be just as important as furniture placement. A lighting plan should relate to the overall design plan for a room.
The first step is to determine how the room will be used. Will the room be used for reading, writing or for cozy conversations? Or, will the kitchen be used for preparing food and for dining? In each situation, choose the appropriate lighting according to what the room will be used for.
Most rooms have 3 types of lighting.
-
Ambient Lighting - is background lighting that can come from ceiling fixtures, floor or table lamps.
-
Task Lighting - is localized lighting for a specific area or activity such as reading or writing and can come from floor lamps or table lamps.
-
Accent Lighting - comes from small fixtures such as down lights, up lights, spotlights and track lights and are recessed or mounted on the wall.

You really can't overdue lighting because you don't have to have all lighting fixtures on at the same time. If lighting is placed in a triangular arrangement it will be pleasing to the eye.
Natural light is always best, but when this is not possible, choosing the appropriate lighting that will illuminate any area is very important. Give special consideration to dining areas, conversation areas and work areas and don't forget about the kitchen area.
There are many many lighting options, so show your home off in the best light possible!

What is the 'WOW' effect?
There are 5 key factors that a homeowner should consider before a home is redesigned or home staged.
1) Decluttering - To organize and/ or remove items that will make a room feel larger.
2) House Cleaning - Eliminate odors such as stuffy or stale nose twisters that affect the presentation of the home.
3) Repair or Replacement- Take care of needed repairs to create the best first
impression.
4) Neutralizing - Try to create a fresh color palette for the redesigner. Neutral walls
and carpeting will allow the redesigner to
add colors accents as needed.
5) Dramatizing - can be a bold wall color or accessories that complete a specific look.
Our goal is to make the interior rooms special. A few extra accents can make a big difference; fresh flowers, artwork hung in an unusual place, candles in the fireplace and on tables, decorative pillows and throws, lamps in dark places, or a special artwork arrangement. Create the 'WOW' effect!
In a recent redesign...

A dramatic color before lends itself to a positive design statement after.

In a recent Home Stage...
Color accents were added to neutral walls, carpeting and furniture to create an appealing style for the real estate market.

From the front door to the basement, a redesigned home should reflect a complete package and a home stage should appeal to the majority in buyers in the market place.
